P110 smart plug low power consumption threshold to turn off
Is there an option to set a low power threshold for a set length of time to turn off the plug.
If you have a TV and it has been put on standby it would be good for the smart plug to turn off after a set time.
If you are using plugs that monitor power consumption you can set a threshold below a certain value to then turn off after the set time.
You Could also set up a standby record feature to get the power consumption on standby and use that to determine the threshold.

Thank you for sharing the feature request!
There is a feature called 'Tapo Power Protection' but it uses the Max threshold instead of the low power consumption :
Power Sensing as Trigger in Tapo Plug Energy Monitoring 2.0 , you can set Auto Power Off for the connected device when its power exceeds your customized threshold.
I transferred this thread to the feature request board so more users who are interested can vote for this feature.

Thanks, the max power feature was where I got my idea from, your surely halfway there for the low power threshold 😉 but add a timer too.
Thanks Stuart

A low power consumption threshold would be useful, particularly if a notification is sent.
Take for example a dehumidifier that turns off when the tank is full.
The Tapo temperature/Humidity sensor can turn it on or off depending on the humidity in the room, but when the tank is full it just goes into 'standby' waiting for the tank to be emptied - not helpful if it is out of sight e.g. loft/basement.
In this instance, the drop in power consumption could trigger a notification that the plug has turned off.

This would be a fantastic idea. We have an extension lead we charge several things from. At the moment our smart plug is set to run overnight for 8 hours but it would be better if it could turn off when charged things stop drawing power.

This Feature NEEDS to be there! It would be so useful for dryer, washing machines and so much more. "If power drops below 2w -> send notification / turn off the switch". That would make devices smart, that are not in reality.
I already searched something in IFTTT, but couldn't find anything like this. Even started a pro+ trial, but there is nothing. This needs to be a basic feature in the tapo app! 🙏
