Ahhh I just spent an hour trying to locate a color with my finger on the color wheel. Having learned that it's a 10-minute development job to add the function to just type in the hex code (which already is there) to control this little ball on the wheel, I ... am speechless. Has anyone gotten any answer from Tapo regarding this update? 😂 Looks like so many people are in NEED of this feature. 
 

... or better, does anyone know other smart bulb option that has this feature already? I don't think I can finger-find the wanted color in this decade 😂😂

  @IT-Yoda Adding my vote to this, having the ability to add colors based on HEX code will be a game changer!

  @IT-Yoda It's been 2 years and numerous app updates. There has even been significantly less voted for feature requests implemented. What is the hold up TP-Link?!?!

In addition to setting exact RGB colors, it would be useful to be able to save a pallete of "user favorite colors" that can be re-used across all smart bulbs. This way you'd just set a color the first time manually and then re-use it with a single tap, no need even to manually type RGB. But yes, we also need the ability to type in RGB values.
