Tapo C320WS - Option for Video quality /compression
***Please click "VOTE" button at Upper-Left of window for Tapo to finally consider this***
Hi TP Link / Tapo,
In relation to issue I've posted on Low video quality, maybe we can also Add Option for user to select the Overall video quality or Bitrate they want - indicating the possible implication on their storage.
This way those have 128gb or 256gb could select Highest possible Video quality as they have enough room for high bitrate / low compress video. Avoiding the issue of overly compressed / pixelated video currently that barely useful to identify person face at all.
Alternatively, not sure if we can look for way to utilize H.265 video format - I believe this could hardware related but better to check as this format is a lot storage efficient than current H.264. Utilizing this will help us achieve same file size but higher quality / bitrate overall.

What a mess. This Camera is useless because of the muddy picture. I'll return my Cam (C320WS) and look for another one.
Way to low bitrate!

This video compares the 2K C210 to the 1080p TC70.. the difference is actually very small, and I believe a lot of that is down to the compression being used.
2K resolution (2560x1440) is approximately 78% larger than 1080p resolution (1920x1080) in terms of pixels, yet the file that the Tapo saves is only about 18% larger with the 2K camera vs 1080p.

@Jerrey Choosing the bitrate and fps would be a top and unique feature in the industry!
Come on Tp Link 🤞🤞

Video quality is very bad due to low bitrate. Need an option to choose higher bitrates to make camera useful.
