Besides the manual "burglar deterrent" use case described above, I use this feature in other cameras to "ring" my kids when they are using headphones and do not respond to audio messages through the camera. Also to attract the attention of my elderly, hearing-impaired parents. Only then they realize I am saying "pick up the phone, please" over the camera.

Thanks for this feature request!

@bandaangosta Considering my Tapo C110 which has separate siren & light options as part of the alarm feature, I would like to complement my previous reply, also supporting the request for manual light activation, for the same use cases described. It is a more gentle way to call for someone's attention, for example when a baby is asleep. Maybe this should be a separate feature request?

This is one of the must have which is missing from other competitive brands. in that case; a user can check live view (just like that or on notification) and trigger alarm only if required. An option just like "calling" in live view; a button for "Instant Alarm"; which activates the alarm on request.

@Solla-topee I bought a C520WS because it has a siren. I'd LOVE to be able to set the siren on manually to scare our neighbour's dog away from our door and yard. He comes over at least few times a day and tries to open the doors (mainly to utility room), which not looks horrible because him scratching the door, but the main issue is that it's made our own dogs into crazy constant barkers. I've tried to set traps (falling empty cans when he janks the door handle) to him, but work only for few days. I'm hoping that siren would freak him out enough to stay away. I would rather turn it on manually, because if it's on the constant or scheduled mode, we'll turn it on ourselves when going outdoors - right? I don't want to scare my own dogs - just neighbourg's. Just FYI - we live remotely on the country side, the neighbour's dog is super nice and friendly. They live about 300 meters away, and he started to come over after we moved in and our dog had her first heat here. The neighbourg's got their dog fixed, but he still likes to come and visit every day. Only reason we need that to stop it is because our own dogs are on constant, high alert mode barking at every little sound their hear or think they hear.

How to set my current camera's siren & lights to go off only when he enters the view? Or do I need to get another model or something? Thank you for any replies in advance.

We live in a remote location and would like to use the siren to scare off neighbors' dog, who's constantly trying to open our doors (yes, he know how to) to let our dogs out to play with him. Neighbors' dog constantly clamming our doors has turned our dogs into manic barkers at every sound.
