Hi All,
So far the Tapo camera supports the Alarm feature, and the Alarm will go off when the motion or event is detected. Below are the instructions to enable the camera Alarm feature on the Tapo app.
How to configure the Alarm feature for the Tapo Cameras on the Tapo app
Since some Tapo Cameras support the "Play Sound" action on the Tapo app > Smart Action feature, an alternative workaround to manually activate the camera siren is to add a shortcut entry on the Tapo app for your camera to play sound when someone presses the shortcut entry.
How to create Smart Action (Automation or Shortcut) on Tapo app
It would be highly appreciated if you could provide the detailed usage scenario where you like to manually activate the siren, which will help us understand your request better and that would help when this request is raised for evaluation.

I feel the product is great for the price point, I'm sure the AI detection will continue to improve to hit hardware limitation, but even on the lowest setting, there are many cases that can cause repeated false alarms -- rain, shadows (tree leaves, people, bugs etc.), vehicle lights.
I utilize the alarm light, but would not feel comfortable turning on the alarm SOUND unattended -- it may become a nuisance to neighbors and would be embarrassing when it goes off repeatedly frown
The camera quickly detects and sends notifications, which can be verified by a human and in some cases would be great to be able to manually sound the alarm.
