Hello,

 

After using microphone, I'm hearing a noise like "PO" from camera, I tested and it happens always when I exit microphone function from the App.

 

For example if I hold the button to talk and release.... nothing happens, then if I exit and go to initial menu on App, I hear a "PO" from camera.

 

Can anyone advise? This is the 2nd unit, and 1st unit was not doing this.

Thank you for reporting the case with us. 

Can you attach the video clip of the noise, or share the video shared link using Google Drive; OneDrive etc. 

May I know do you use the Video Call or Talk feature and at the end of the conversation there is some noise? 

Is this the replacement Tapo C210 camera or a different camera?

Yes, I can use Video Call or Talk and it happens.

 

This is Tapo C210 Camera from TP-Link.

Just picked a replacement (3rd unit), and this does the same.

 

A quick test will be using Talk Feature and check if the "POC" happens, as per above record.

Hello   @cgentil 

In case that sound is the sound feedback from the phone sound or echo, can you put your phone far away from the camera and test again? 

If the sound is from camera, you may need to get someome to use the Talk feature in another room, and another person sit beside the camera and see if there is still similar sound.

Please test it on following way:

 

Hold the button to talk and release.... nothing happens, then if you exit and go to initial menu on App, you hear a "POC" from camera.

 

It happens after the microphone use and only after you exit talk menu on App.

 

You can also test on call function, the "POC" will happen immediately after you switch off the the camera call.

 

Please test.

  Hello @cgentil 

Wile testing in the lab, there is a very small sound when you turn On/Off the Mic function on the camera, while in the test room background sound, I can barely hear it unless we come close to the cam or in a very quiet environment. 

You may test if Disabling/ Enabling the Mic on the left side could reproduce the sound, if so, this could be the sound turning on /off the speaker.

This should be a common behavior on the camera instead of an issue with the cam, only that the sound can be noticeable when the camera is a very quiet environment.

  @Solla-topee just click on "Hang Up button" and see if the sound appears.

 

It is "POC", like the you can hear on final of this sound (not the "Bling", it's the 2nd sound you can hear on below, please check):

If I turn off or on Microphone, there is no noise.

 

The noise only happens when:

 

1- When on talk feature menu and you exit from menu and go to another menu.

 

2- When on call feature menu doing the call and the click "Hang Up" button.

 

Please advise, as this is a 3rd device or just record the sound on lab.
