I have the exact same problem on my 3 cams, and even the recordings on the SD-card are really low quality.

@TP-Link When can we expect an answer to this?

Same here .New 320ws very poor video quality and lagging

No change whatever quality i choose.Looks like its 

in cameras firmware because even opening the stream in other apps,same problem.Compression not working proper?

Why wont you give us any response in this question?

I just got this camera yersterday.  The quality of the video is awful.  Resolution means nothing if there is always compression artifacts everywhere.

UP! Let me up this topic for TP Link / Tapo know that this is not isolated case.

I recently bought this C320WS camera due to adverstisement of "2k High Definition" and "Starlight Nigh Vision"...

But Overall Video quality is really bad that you cannot identified the People Face even in Broad day light, what's more in night.

Video quality is not only about Resolution (2K, Full HD etc) but overall Bitrate and Compression which the current camera really lacks.

I hope TP Link resolve this issue via Firmware update ASAP as this camera is just good enough only for checking if there's there's someone outside but really lacking for actual "Security" tracking and purposes.

  @Jerrey I agree with you. such image quality in 2022 in a camera that sells a large company is unacceptable. Chinese cameras from alieexpres have better quality. in poland this camera is not so cheap at all with our wages

Indeed, there's lot of other Chinese brands and other manufacturer but a lot of people chose TP-Link because its known brand for Router and related internet peripherals. I know Tapo is sister brand but still under TP-Link and people simply trust this brand thus lot of people bought it, in my country Philippines, C320WS already sold almost 4,000 while C3100 is almost 11,000 that's only in 1 E-commerce site only.

Given a lot of sales on this and how big TP-Link / Tapo, I hope they do something on this Video Quality they even advertising in the first place but failed to deliver it with current firmware. BTW I'm already using the latest 1.3.0 but it still sucks. 

I'll be bumping this thread every now and then to get much attention / feedback from Tapo / TP-Link. I don't like my money to be wasted like this.
