Model: EAP225
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: Was 5.0.7

Hello

My wife poked me in the ribs a couple of nights ago when the bedroom EAP225 started blink green - red - orange. i un plugged it and went back to sleep.

Just trying to figure out what wrong with it. Is in an endless reboot cycle from a quick google.

Is hanging of a OC200, and when had a look in that seems to have broken while flashing from 5.0.7 --> 5.0.8 FW.

Have tried the reset button, but nothing I do changes the LED behavior. Can find on LAN / WAN..

Any suggestions to recover ?

Cheers

Looks like it's bricked, are you managing the EAP with the OC200?
Is the firmware version automatically upgraded by OC200?
Did you notice any power failure or disconnection during the firmware upgrade process?
You can try to completely shut down the EAP, do not power up and wait for more than 1 hour, then power up and try again.

Try changing the network cable.
If it still doesn't work, suggest contacting tplink support directly for a replacement.

Just striving to develop myself while helping others.

  @LemmingNZ

confirmed a dead/bricked one. it should be related to your oc200. i believe the auto-ugprade is on. normally, it won't brick unless a firmware upgrade and you cut the power/cable during the upgrade.
