@Richard_T123 Hi Richard,
You could check some kasa plug model here like KP105/ KP115

Till this moment, support has not got any confirmed news about Kasa discontinuation in the UK. Let's say if a product is no longer in production, the device is still covered by the warranty as local warranty policy here and we will continue to provide free technical support for as long as you own the product.

Hi @Solla-topee,
You say support hasn't gone away however, I recently sent 2 of my Kasa plugs for repair and I have to accept Tapo as a replacement due to no further stock being received for the Kasa range.
This is rather annoying as people will jow need to use 2 apps if they already own Kasa devices. There is also the following features that are lacking from Tapo in comparison to the former:
Integration: cannot connect with TP-Link Deco or IFTTT
Functionality: Less power reporting e.g average consumption over 7 and 30 days
Connectivity: Kasa supports local execution whereas Tapo does not.

How old are the devices that you sent for repair?
I would reject the replacements as they are not fit for purpose - you do not have to accept them
Generally i would take anything said by the TP link Mods/reps on this site - representing the smarthome side as complete bullshyte lies and disinformation.
Reject the tappo replacements they are not fit for purpose and either get your money back from the place you bought them from
