Implemented [FEATURE REQUEST] TAPO Cameras ADD STATIC IP
good day tp-link I would like to atleast have a static ip option for the tapo cameras, its especially important when you have a central dvr and most cctv ipcams have static ip option. I know that we should set a static IP on the router but it does not always work, the tapo camera goes for its dhcp first then after turning it off and on again it gets its static ip assignment. if we have a blackout and the power goes on back again the tapo camera will boot first before the router which would mess up the ip again. I hope STATIC IP feature is added. thanks
Consumers I need your help to upvote static IP to infinity

Hi,
Hoping that the version 1.0 models are part of the pipeline of adding static IP.
I have C110 v1.0 and would love to have this feature in it too.
Thanks!

Same problem here. Wish I would've found this thread before I bought this dumb thing.
Tapo C310 v2.0 with latest firmware (1.3.11) does not show the "static IP" option (or any network settings for that matter) under "advanced", as described earlier in this thread.
A little bit of background. Been using TP-link IP cameras for over a decade now. They used to rock. Now with such a simple missing setting as this, this device is useless. Longstanding TP-Link customer of over 15 years, sorry but I'll never buy a TP-Link product again!
Also, who ever decided using an app to set this thing up was a good idea? Amazon Frustration-Free setup? Frustration-free my but! How about a camera that just gets an IP address when plugged in and has a web interface with a static IP option? The "new" method is not easier, nor better, in any possible way.
Kind of thought these, umm, "features" were included when I found that it has an ethernet port. Next time I'll just go with another vendor.

@langamer101 Yes, I jkust wasted quite a bit of time looking for where to set a static IP address, so I can link my C210 cameras to a NAS via static IP, Glad I saw this post and I hope TP-Link get this quite basic feature enabled soon.

Our company utilizes a significant number of TP-Link Tapo P125 and P125M smart plugs. We urgently request the addition of a Static IP Configuration option within the Tapo app. Due to our network architecture, it is not feasible to set IP reservations via the router. Each time a Tapo device disconnects and reconnects to WiFi, it obtains a new IP address from the DHCP server, causing our API to lose connectivity with the smart plug.
To ensure consistent access and integration with our API, please expedite the development of a feature within the Tapo app that allows users to assign and retain a static IP for each device.

I already found 3 or 4 thread saying the same thing, I already wrote in one of them, some are 1 year old.
I suggest you to read them and FIX THE ISSUE. I'm not going to write a new one to let you ignore one more.
what problem you got with DHCP in TP-LINK? I just throw in the bin 3x Deco M4 because of cr4ppy smart dhcp, now I have your camera with disabled static dhcp randomply re-enabling. come on!!!
