Implemented [FEATURE REQUEST] TAPO Cameras ADD STATIC IP
good day tp-link I would like to atleast have a static ip option for the tapo cameras, its especially important when you have a central dvr and most cctv ipcams have static ip option. I know that we should set a static IP on the router but it does not always work, the tapo camera goes for its dhcp first then after turning it off and on again it gets its static ip assignment. if we have a blackout and the power goes on back again the tapo camera will boot first before the router which would mess up the ip again. I hope STATIC IP feature is added. thanks
Consumers I need your help to upvote static IP to infinity

I also request a ststic IP address assignment option. This option is a must-have, and I will not buy more TP-Link cameras until this feature is available (have bought 3 myself, and advised friends to buy 5 in total).

+1 for DHCP by default + manual setting option for advanced users.
Just bought a C320WS & a C200, can't get them on camera IP range after initial testing. I am using Cisco RV345 router, TPLink TL-SG2210P PoE switch with a few EAP225, EAP235Wall & EAP225-Outdoor access points (one in mesh for coverage extension), and i need to get the images recorded to my Synology NAS.
Rebooted the Cisco router, yet some TPLink gives the initial IP (X.X.X.101) to the camera, instead of the one i configured in the DHCP table on router (X.X.X.225). I assume it's the camera setup procedure setting it to some sort of fixed IP, as rebooting the camera does not change the IP.
Full factory reset of the camera got it right - let's see how it will behave when power will go off...

Hi to everyone,
I also having problems because of "lacking" basic features like static IP with my TP-Link Archer1210v router and TL-WA860RE extender with C310 cameras it is impossible to keep fixed IP even with reserved IP to each i restart my cameras take a random ip and my nvr doesn't work
TP-Link please add this stupid feature Tapo camera at each reboot takes a random IP
regards

I was considering using Tapo cameras for few my locations, but not having static IP configuration I will have to switch to another HW vendor :/

@matkor I would not recommend TAPO camera anymore. The VIGI camera is much better in term of compatibility with the VIGI NVR. It's so much easier to setup and manage.
