How to interpret Kasa plug data in the app?
I have two Kasa KP115 Smart Plugs which I plugged into devices yesterday and I'm trying to understand the data that is being displayed in the app.
Device 1 App Display
Energy Usage:
Today: Current: 1.18 w Total: 0.56 kwh
7 Days: Average: 0.65 kwh Total: 0.65 kwh
30 Days: Average: 0.65 kwh Total: 0.65 kwh
Runtime:
Today: Current: 11.5 hrs Total: 11.5 hrs
7 Days: Average: 14.9 hrs Total: 14.9 hrs
30 Days: Average: 14.9 hrs Total: 14.9 hrs
Some of these numbers do not seem to match reality.
Device was plugged and setup 26.2 hours ago and has been in on state continuously since then
It has used a total of 1.217 kwh of power during that time
It has been on for 11.5 hours since midnight.
So the 7 and 30 day total power and runtime seem to be completely wrong.
What do all these different numbers actually mean given that they don't seem to match my expectation?
Is there a way to find out the true totals?
Device 2 App Display
Energy Usage:
Today: Current: 0.75 w Total: 0.66 kwh
7 Days: Average: 0.47 kwh Total: 0.47 kwh
30 Days: Average: 0.47 kwh Total: 0.47 kwh
Runtime:
Today: Current: 3.66 hrs Total: 11.4 hrs
7 Days: Average: 9.58 hrs Total: 9.58 hrs
30 Days: Average: 9.58 hrs Total: 9.58 hrs
In this case the device has been running for 21 hrs, has been on for 11.4 hrs today and was switched off for a few seconds 3.75 hours ago and has a total power usage of 1.16 kwh. Again the 7 and 30 day totals seem to be wrong.
I'm trying to find out the average power usage of these two devices. The correct numbers appear to be:
Device 1: Average watts: 46 w Daily average kwh: 1.11 kwh
Device 2: Average watts: 55 w Daily average kwh: 1.33 kwh
How can I figure out these numbers from what is displayed in the app?
Thanks
