Motion detection range for C310
I am interested in getting a C310 but want to find out what the detection range is first before committing. I can't find this information in the specifications.
I bought a Kami outdoor camera but the range is only reliable to 5metres and I need a camera to detect motion at my property boundary, which is about 8 metres.

Hi,
Thanks for your patience.
The night vision on the Tapo C310 Provides a visual distance of up to 98 ft (30m).
And it would be a little longer in the daylight mode.
Thanks a lot and wait for your reply.

My C310 picks up traffic and people walking across the end of our road at over 20m away.
Triggers alerts and records every one of them. And every rain drop that falls in front of the lens at night :(

Same thing here for me with the problem of the camera alarms on raindrops, dusts and snow whebmn it gets dark, even on the lowest sensititvy setting.
I hope Tp-Link will fix this, they need to let us adjust the sensitivty more than just three steps and also add an optiona for the camera to get less sensititve to very small things in the air line snowflakes, dust, snow.

I have just bought a C310 but cannot get a SD card to work. The first Sandisk 64Gb one I tried brought up a message that the card may be fake but this card worked fine in the PC and a Kami camera. I tried 2 other SD cards (other makes and smaller) but they would not initialise or format in the camera (but work fine elsewhere). Have you managed to get a SD card to work OK and, if so, does it have to be any particular make/size?

@Tonybee Hello,
The Tapo camera supports a microSD card with up to 128GB capacity, which should be formatted in FAT32. If the camera cannot format the card or the recording is not working properly, please try with below troubleshooting steps and see if it will help:
1. Insert the SD card into the camera SD card slot and run the Tapo app to see if you could see a notice that tells you to format/initialize the card first. If yes, please click on Format/Initialize then check again. Before this, please backup the recordings if necessary;
2. Please ensure the camera firmware is up-to-date and the Tapo app is the latest on your phone;
3. Test and verify the card with third-party software such as H2testW with the instruction here and share us the screenshot of the result.
( fake capacity expanded card will trigger an Error).

Is there any Error when you try to format the SD card,may I have a photo of the Error.
Can you help provide Brand & capacity & format of the SD card which is not working properly with tapo.
