EAP225-Wall power supply
Hi, I'm new on this forum.
I already own a EAP225 (ceiling mount).
This AP included a Passive PoE Adapter in the box.
It works fine.
I recently bought a second hand EAP225-Wall.
I tried to test it by using my existing Passive PoE Adapter, but it doesn't work.
Does it need another power supply then the EAP225-Ceiling?

In short, Passive PoE is a different power supply method from Standard PoE (802.3af/at PoE).
If the product only supports 802.3af/at PoE, we need to use 802.3af/at PoE to power it up.
If the product only supports Passive PoE, we have to use a Passive PoE to power it up.
For the EAP225-Wall, it won't work with the Passive PoE, you may purchase a PoE switch which is compliant with 802.3af/at PoE to power it up. Check this link for a PoE switch. https://www.tp-link.com/en/business-networking/all-switch/?filterby=5014%7C5013

@FlashWeave PS: by "doesn't work", I mean: the LED doesn't light up, not even when I try resetting the AP by long pressing the "reset" button, as described in the manual.

@Fae thank you for the clarification.
I already ordered a Tp-Link Tl-Sg1005P 5-Port Gigabit Poe Switch some days ago.
This switch is 802.3af-compatible.
I guess I'll have to wait for this one to arrive, in order to test my EAP225 wall.
One additional question: why doesn't Tp-Link include an active PoE injector in the box with the EAP225 Ceiling?
Is it that much cheaper to include a passive one?

Do you confirm that is possible also with: TL-POE160S that is s complies with IEEE802.3af/at standard ?

Yes, also both TL-PoE150S and TL-PoE160S can power up the EAP that requires IEEE802.3af/at.
