I purchased a TP-Link Tapo Smart Plug
Trying to conenct to my echo dot i connected without the need for a phone im trying to do the same but it seems i need a smart phone to use the hardware.
My question is can i use this device like i can the echo dot without the need of a smart phone using a computer ?
If not why not.

Sorry for the delay.
For the first setup, we have to use a smartphone with the Tapo APP to finish the configuration.
But after setup and link it to the Amazon Echo dot, you could delete the Tapo APP and leave the smartphone alone and control the plug directly via Echo;
