Date and Time does not update.
Hi
I have installed and set up my Tapo C200 sucessfully. I am now able to see image and record video.
But the date and time still wrong past 5 days of installation.
My router is updated with right date and time. Also I am able to ping few NTP servers. But camera date time is not updated.
I already also set my timezone properly to UTC -3.
I figured out that every time I reset the camera date and time is set up like 2020-05-20 01:00:00.
I would like to find out a work around because it is making my cam records wrongly.
attached a screenshot with wrong date time.
regards
Kleber

@Brook Same problem with a Tapo C100, after restart I get 2020-05-19.... no time&date update. My DNS resolution seems to work accordingly: n-use1-device-api.tplinkcloud.com (3.224.48.251) and n-deventry-dcipc.tplinkcloud.com (52.210.177.125).

Good day,
Thanks a lot for your time and patience.
Sorry for the delay.
How long have you had the camera and when did this issue start?
After the camera went back to the default time, if you re-select the time zone, would the time be corrected?
Have you updated the firmware of the camera and the version of the Tapo APP to be the latest?
What is the model number of the home router and have you turn off the firewall and modify the NTP server on the router to have a look?
Thank you very much.

Sorry, my bad... :(
A second review of my firewall setup revealed I missed a rule blocking NTP traffic for a certain IP range. Adding this device to the NTP IP whitelist solved the problem.

Hi, Can I have some pictures of the time settings on the Tapo C310 and C200?
And how long of the time gap, one or two hours?
Thank!

THE SAME PROBLEM WITH 2 C100 & 1 C200 CAMERAS, THEY ALL HAVE A 2020 DATE AND IT WON'T RESET. TRIED EVERYTHING I CAN THINK OF BUT STILL THE 2020 DATE APPEARS ON THE SCREEN. SHOULD BE ABLE TO SET THE DATE FROM THE ON SCREEN SETTINGS, IT WOULD MAKE LIFE A LOT EASIER FOR EVERYONE,

@Kleber_Bueno Are you using your cam on a guest network where internet applications are restricted to surfing and mailing only. If so, ntp requests are not working and the cam can't update there internal clock too.

I'll check that but I'm sure that isn't the problem. Phone is used as router so the option of using WiFi is limited..

I'm sure it's because the cam is operated locally...

@MALVICO l guess TP-Link has it's own NTP Server und the address of this one is hard-coded in the firmware.
Have tried a few other affordable cctv Cams like Sricam and Xiaomi before. Compared to that ones the C200 is still the best.
