Date and Time does not update.
Hi
I have installed and set up my Tapo C200 sucessfully. I am now able to see image and record video.
But the date and time still wrong past 5 days of installation.
My router is updated with right date and time. Also I am able to ping few NTP servers. But camera date time is not updated.
I already also set my timezone properly to UTC -3.
I figured out that every time I reset the camera date and time is set up like 2020-05-20 01:00:00.
I would like to find out a work around because it is making my cam records wrongly.
attached a screenshot with wrong date time.
regards
Kleber

Sorry, my bad... :(
A second review of my firewall setup revealed I missed a rule blocking NTP traffic for a certain IP range. Adding this device to the NTP IP whitelist solved the problem.

Hello,
With regard to the DNS server, you can access the internet with your current DNS server, but the C200 has a built-in NTP server and it needs to get time from that NTP server.
It is possible that your DNS server may fail to resolve the NTP server, please try to change the DNS server on your router to 8.8.8.8 and then reboot the C200.
If it doesn't work, you can change it back to the previous address right away and have no effect on your network.

I did it as you suggested.
DNS1 to 8.8.8.8
DNS2 8.8.4.4.
But unfortunatelly still not working.
Anyway thank you so much for answering this.
best regards

Hi, sorry to respond late.
Can you please send me the logs saved on the SD card then we can further analyze it?
Here are the steps to save the log into your local SD card:
1. Make sure there is an SD card inserted into the camera slot and detected to work fine on the camera. If not, please format your SD card on the camera app first and check to ensure the SD card status is good;
2. Go to Camera settings-Advanced Settings-Diagnostics, enable it;
3. Try multiple times to load the camera live view, then navigate to Me-Help/Feedback-Feedback and select the problematic camera on the app and send us feedback. Or you may insert the SD card into your computer and send me the whole "diagnose_log" file. We will then ask our engineers to investigate further with the log.
Thanks.

Hello, thanks for the feedback.
As per the log file you provided, it seems that the camera still has a hard time to connect to the NTP server, can you please confirm again if you changed the DNS server on your router WAN but not LAN? If possible, please show me the screenshot, thanks.
BTW, can you please connect a computer to the same router and try to nslookup these two domains n-deventry-dcipc.tplinkcloud.com and n-use1-device-api.tplinkcloud.com, then show me the results? You may press the Windows key and R key to open the Command Prompt on your windows computer, then type in nslookup n-deventry-dcipc.tplinkcloud.com and press enter, show me the result. Do the same for the other domain.
Good days.
