TAPO C200 viewing not working outside of home
Morning,
Having issues the last 3 days with trying to view the live feed on my app while at work and It keeps saying offline, but when my partner logs in on her phone while she is in the house it picks up the live feed without any issues.
any ideas how to resolve this?
Andy

As per your description, it seems that your camera may fail to connect to the cloud server and that's why you cannot view it from an outside network. You can check if your wireless network is working properly or not, and most importantly you need to ensure the wireless network has a good connection to the camera cloud server, you can change the DNS setting to 8.8.8.8 on the router for a try.

I have the same issue, the app indicated that the camera can only be controlled locally.
I changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8 per advice, but it does not help. Rebooted several time the camera, and the router, nothing difference. The camera only been used for a bit more than one month.

I have the same problem. If it's not connected to the same WIFI you can't connect. I've tried already different networks, routers, no effect. It even don't want to update the new firmware. Any suggestions?

@Dolphin_Nice Open port 554 on ur router and setup NAT. If not on same network, this port isnt usually accessible directly via ur routers public IP

Hi, sorry for the delay.
Did you still have the same issue on the Tapo C200?
If yes, could you please help me check the following details:
- When the smartphone is outside of home, or via 3/4G work, did the cameras show up as local only or they just disappeared from the APP?
- What Is the model number of the home router?
Thanks you very much!
