TP-LINK NC450 v2 auto rebooting
Hi,
I have the issue with the camera NC450. I notice that pretty often it reboots by itself.
The LED switch to RED, so it reboots automatically. I have factory reset it, tried with the ethernet cable or just wifi...I also change the power adapter but nothing help.
I don't know if these issues began with FW 1.5.2 or not.
I still have a warranty...do anybody have that kind of problems too?
Thanks and regards, vaitapu

After the firmware update. can you control the steering (pan/tilt) through the TP camera app? How about reinstall the APP? Please make sure the APP version is the latest.
Besides, please check if the pan / tilt is stuck by foreign objects.
Finally, please try factory reset the camera by press the reset button for 10 seconds until the light change, then reinstall it on the TP camera app.

Hi, please check the auto-reboot function on your app, did you turn it on? If so, the camera will reboot automatically at 3:00am everyday.
Besides, when you set up static IP address for the camera, plesae make sure there is no other device can use this IP address, you can use the IP address that is out of your DHCP server.

I also got some problems after upgrading the firmware from 1.3.4 to 1.5.2
I have multiple camera brands and therefore prefer to use the android app tinyCam to collect them all one place.
After the firmware upgrade I can't control the steering (pan/tilt) through this app, and I just ordered another NC450 camera since it was working so good earlier.
What do I have to do to fix it? Change settings or downgrade firmware?

Thank you for prompt reply.
The camera works great with TP app but doesn't work properly when connected to third party apps or from a remote computer to the web UI.
Seems to me the https in the firmware block certain functions.
I gain access to web UI interface only through https:// but can't access live view from remote computer.
And yes, I have also added port forwarding for https port 443 on the router.
Is there a way to deactivate https in the new firmware? Can it be optional on next update?

Auto reboot is disabled...that reboots are present in both scenario...in static or in dynamic mode.
That reboots sometimes appears just after a couple of minutes when the cam is online.
Do you own that camera? Do you have it on the same FW? I do believe that this is not related to just my hardware, but as you could see many of users reports that kind of problems.

Hello, the built-in web UI of NC450 cannot be disabled. Generally speaking, you can access it outside once you open port 443 for it. Cause it does not work, please ensure that the internet IP address of your main router is the public IP address, not private one; and you can access the web UI with the internet IP and port number.
If it is the private IP, you need open the port for your router on the front-end device which has the public internet IP address.
Good day.

I see, you can try to downgrade the firmware and take some time to test its performance.
Our engineer will email you the instruction to downgrade the firmware, please check your inbox later.
May it help.

Thank you for your reply.
I have already tried what you suggest.
All three necessary ports 80, 554 & 443 is opened and port forwarded to the camera static ip address.
I can login and gain access to the web ui, but live view won't work when I use my public ip.
That said live view works with local ip.

Is there any error message on the LiveView page once you logged into the web UI remotely?
In the meantime, can you watch the LiveView via the tpCamera app with cellular data enabled on your cellphone?
Try to reboot the camera and disable the antivirus/firewall on the router to give it a go.

The live view is blank without any error messages. Have tried with bith Firefox and Chrome.
It works through tpCamera app with celluar data enabled.
It could of course be the router antivirus/firewall blocking the https certificate. Unfortunately I am unable to try to this since I already downgraded the firmware to 1.3.4 to avoid https.
