Kasa Care - TPlink reconsider ? 2 years Free? - Might as well just throw cam away instead!
I hope this does not upset anyone, but I felt this need to be said.
Nest used to, and still does in most countries charge for cloud storage on a per camera basis.
As we can all understand this will stop many people from getting multiple cameras for their home.
Thankfully Google has seen the light, and is in the process of changing this, giving you the option of new plans which cover your entire home.
So you can buy more camera's without being hit with a new subscription for each one.
I was very sad to see TP Link have gone down this old route Goole did, and are changing a seperate subscription for each camera.
Having just bought two TP Link cameras, and being very impressed by the video quality. Very nice indeed. Top marks :)
And I would probably buy more, both inside and out the home, but I'm not going to bother, if I have to pay a subscription for every single one as that would work out to a crazy amount per year.
Given that 2 years is a LONG time from now, and I presume TP link would love to see people buying more camera hardware, do you think there is a chance that a complete home plan, to complete with Google/Nest's new home plan might be something that could be considered?

@warlockuk We must ask TP-Link to support RTSP and to change the cloud server for one that we want with a firmware update.
If not the cameras, these KC200 are unusable without these functions.

@eduytito I would expect it's something they can just enable or have roadmap time to develop.
I got an email yesterday that says my 'premium' ended, less than a year after I bought the cameras.
So they're now on their default if having... is it two hours? Something like that for the ones I have.

@eduytito not for my cameras. I can't see footage more than two days old, and it's certainly not 1gb in clips. I think it's two days with a 1gb limit. So anything happens while I'm away for a weekend and I won't see the footage.
I bought these less than six months ago, the KC100 and KC110.
Honestly, I wish I'd not bought these / sent these back when I realised there was no rtsp.

You may run a VPN with a connection to UK and re-register another account with a UK address.
I am not sur about the credit card though but that can be twicked as well.
There is always a solution.
