Hi,

Can someone help me please.

I run a very tight firerwall that blocks a lot of uninvited network traffic.  However, it would be good to be able to control KASA/my smart swithes remotly.

Therefore I need to set a firerwall rule that allows this traffic though.

Can anyone advise the correct IP range TP link uses and what ports to open?

Thanks in advance

@Wayward

Hello, you can get the IP address of each smart home devices on the KASA APP.

Then you can open ports 443, 50443, 60443 for them and verify whether you can access them remotely.

May it help.

@Kevin_Z

Hi Kevin,

Really don't think that is a good idea as it opens the devices up to someone hacking them.  Much better to white list the known TP-Link Servers and THEN limiting the access to the require ports.
