Firmware Version:

TP-Link Team, please consider a new feature that would turn the smart device off after 'X' minutes of it being turned on.

Practical examples:

  1. Ensures safety while using high powered devices - I have an iron/steamer connected to a smart plug that can be triggered to turn on to "preheat". If the smart plug can be programmed to always turn off 30 minutes after it is triggered to be on, this will prevent from forgetting to turn the device off.
  2. Charge protect - for example, if you want to charge a cell phone but don't want it to be left charging after being fully charged, the smart plug can be programmed to always turn off 90 minutes after it is triggered to be on.

I'm sure this is not the first request of this feature. Other community contributers/users, feel free to post your own practical example below.

Thanks for considering, TP-Link!

Hi,

Thanks very much for your kind feedback. We already received this feedback before. We are trying to improve this function but it may take some time. Any update, we will release on our kasa app.

Thanks again, good day!
