HS100 Smart Plug dropped out of app when router restarted
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
I recently had to restart my router. When It restarted the smart plug no longer worked. When I opened the Kasa app the device had disappeared. I had to set it up again from scratch. I'm guessing it was because the device was allocated a different IP address from the DHCP server when the router restated, but I'm not sure. Is there any way I can prevent this from occurring? Perhaps allocate a static IP address to the HS100(AU)? Ay information will be appreciated.
Note: I operate the smart plug via Google Home, so the Kasa app normally remains closed. I have found if the Kasa app is running Google Home can't control the device.
Thanks.
