cannot assign smart actions on app (androind)

When i try to create a new smart action, i am unable to assign it to the button. The screen where you would presumbaly 'accept' the action has no 'done' or 'accept' or 'save' button on it - seems like

Tapo s210 battery status

Does anyone know how to see the battery status for the s210 switch in the app? Apparently you can see the led blink if you physically visit the switch and turn it on and off, but that's not ideal!
