SG3428X dead on arrival?
Hi,
I have a SG3428X v1.30 switch.
I am new to these Omada TP-Link switches, I have a few half-managed and unmanaged ones, and I thought I was dumb, but...
I opened the box, installed the switch into the rack, powered it on, and it powers on but nothing is working (The SYS led is blinking, which should mean the switch is operational):
- Cannot access to the management UI, as no cable works in any port to have some ethernet blinking lights even. Cables work in other devices, so they are OK, even they are brand new.
- I have tried to reset through the console USB port, but I am getting these errors:
I see these errors roll and roll on the screen forever, so logging in is not easy... if it would work... but admin/admin gives me a prompt of "do you want to change the password now?", where I say "No", and I get an invalid logon.
So I am a bit lost about what am I missing, and what could I do?
I thought the switch is plug and play until I want to manage it, it would get an IP from DHCP, which I have on my router, but nothing seems to be functioning right now.
