Tc72 recording only for 12 days

Why is my tc72 recording only for 12 days? I'm using 256gb SD card with the lowest settings(360p @15 fps)

Hi,
We did a test with the TC72 V1 and found that when the Video Quality is set to 360P, the camera's live feed resolution is 360P, however, the video recordings stored on the inserted SD are at the highest resolution(2560 x 1440px). The Video Quality settings only apply to the TC72 V1's live feed.
As you can see in the "Maximum Recording Hours" section in the following FAQ, when the camera stores continuous video recordings to the inserted SD card(256GB) at 4MP @15fps, the maximum recording hours is 384(16 days). However, the actual recording duration in usage is also related to the scene complexity, proportion of dynamic scenes, etc. It is normal for your camera to only store 12 days of continuous recording.
What Type of microSD Card does Tapo/Kasa Camera Support?
If you find that the resolution of the video stored on the SD card is 640x360px, please describe the steps you took to find that resolution and send me a picture of it.
Best Regards

Hi,
Please confirm the following information for the reported issue.
1. What's the firmware and hardware version of your TC72? You can find the version info on the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Device Info page.
2. It's recommended to download a video clip from the SD card to your phone and then check the resolution of the video recording on your phone. Is it 2560 x 1440px?
3. Do you store the continuous video recordings on the SD card? How do you test the TC72 record only for 12 days? Do the new video recordings overwrite the old video recordings?

Is that a glitch? Will you fix that in future updates?
I recorded from the feed then downloaded it

Hi,
This is the current design of TC72. If you want the Video Quality setting of TC72 to take effect on the camera's live feed and video recordings saved to the inserted SD card, you can start a new thread here to request the new feature.
The video recording manually recorded on the camera's live view page is not saved to the SD card, and its resolution is the same as the live view page.

I'll just replace it. What model actually records at 720p or 1080p with the latest detection features?
