Model: Tapo C530WS
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Tapo C530WS does not connect to my network /does not find it during configuration/.
The router is ZTE MF286D, you can choose:
WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK or WPA2(AES)-PSK /And Open :))
802.11b, 802.11g and 802.11 b/g/n

I have two such cameras. One with boxed FW somehow started on 'b only', but it said there were stability problems, I changed it to 'g only' :-)) and it started.
The second one, which I've already updated to the latest FW, unfortunately doesn't find this network :(

Any ideas..? camera 20 cm from the router
I have two other routers at home and it sees these without a problem....

Interestingly - now I've connected the configured camera and the second one.
The first one works fine without a problem on the new FW :)), The second one doesn't find my network (But all the others do) on which the first one works :))
it's 'b only', channel 11 and WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK.

I had both enabled before, only in one /the one refusing to cooperate/ I updated the FW before today's attempt to change the router to ZTE...
Now both have newest firmware and still problems :(

Hi,
You can refer to Case 3 in the following instructions to troubleshoot if you can't find the router's Wi-Fi when configuring the camera.
What should I do if I fail to configure Tapo Camera?

If the problem remains, please confirm the following information for further analysis.
  1. The test results of the above troubleshooting steps.
  2. Try to change the router's 2.4G Wi-Fi to "802.11 b/g/n, channel 6, and WPA2-PSK" and then check if you can detect it when configuring the Tapo C530WS.
  3. Try to press the reset button for 10 seconds on the camera to factory reset it if you have not tried this before.
  4. Enable a hotspot Wi-Fi on your phone, factory reset the camera, configure it with another phone, connect it to the hotspot Wi-Fi, and then check if you can set it up successfully.

Best Regards

Hi,
You can check if the following thread is helpful.
What to do if my Tapo C520WS V2/Tapo C530WS V2 can't find the router's Wi-Fi during configuration?
Best Regards
