Model: Tapo C220
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.5

I purchased Tapo c220 15 days before and have been facing the same issue from the beginning , when it moves while tracking a object , at last it ends up in a bad position and doesn't get back to the viewpoint I have set in the app ,

It feels really frustrating to adjust it again and again

Now I ended up stopping motion tracking

But that's the feature I needed the most ,

Totally a  Bad experience

Not Expected by a well known Brand

Hi,
Typically, if you have enabled the Motion Tracking feature on the Tapo C220, the camera's position when you enable the Motion Tracking feature is the original position, and the camera will return to the original position after tracking if no new events are detected after 30 seconds. It won't go back to another viewpoint you configured on the Tapo app.

If you want the camera to return to a specific position after tracking, you can adjust the camera's position on the Tapo app and then enable the Motion Tracking feature on that specific position.

Best Regards

Hi,
Thank you for the video provided.
The video seems show that the camera works as it should. As you can see in the video, the camera returns to its original position at 13:07:29 after tracking.
Best Regards
