Hello All,

I've been having some issues as of late with our two S220 switches. We've added the H200 hub to Homekit via Matter and that's exposed the two switches as well as a motion sensor and S210 switch.

We've noticed that the left and right switches of the S220 sometimes drop out, one day it can be the left switch, the other day it could be the right switch.

The frustrating part is, once it drops from homekit any automations linked to it disappear as well even if it reappears after a couple of minutes.

The only way we've found to reliably get the switches back is to remove the H200 hub as a bridge in homekit and then add it again.

Does anyone else have any similar experiences or solutions?

What's the Matter controller you have? What's its OS version?

*Matter-supported Controller: Home Pod, Home Pod mini, or Apple TV.

Do both S220 experience the same problem? How about the S210 and motion sensor T100?

>> Can you share more details about it? What reappears? The device or the automation rule?

What are the hardware and firmware versions of your Tapo S220s and the H200 hub?

  @Wayne-TP

- Matter Controller: Hompod Mini v18.3 (22K557)

- Both S220's have the issues intermittently, the S210 doesn't and neither does the T100.

- What happens is, we remove the Tapo bridge in homekit, readd and put the S220 into two seperate rooms. We then have a left and right swtich in each room. The Left switch is wired up to control the light whereas the right switch is left unwired to act as a trigger for lamps in the room. We then setup automations for both rooms such as When right switch on turn on X Y Z lamp. Time goes by from a day to a week. We will either notice that the left switch is missing in one of the rooms or that the right switch is missing, this is normaly found out when one of us presses the right switch and none of the lamps turn on in the room. We check the homekit app and can then see one of the switches is missing. Sometimes it's only the left or right switch, sometimes it's both.

- Tapo S220 #1 Hardware Version 1.0, Firemware Version 190 Build 231106 Re.164353. Tapo S220 #2 Hardware Version 1.0, Firmware Version 1.9.0 Build 231106 Rel.164353, both switches bought in July 2023. H200 Hub Hardware Version 1.0, Firmware Version 1.5.0 Build 20250221 rel.59821 Bought October 2022.
