Hey guys,

 

My Tapo C210 camera supports baby crying notifications in the Tapo app, but these notifications/events are not available via ONVIF in third party integrations (Home Assistant, etc.). Per this GitHub thread, these notifications, as well as other event types supported by Tapo cameras, have a great deal of interest in the community. Looks like pet detection ONVIF events are actively being worked on, but I haven't heard anything about other event types coming down the pipeline. Happy to be a guinea pig for beta firmware if a fix is in progress.

I have a C225 which I use as a baby monitor. In home assistant I have automations setup that notify me through text-to-speech and alarm notifications of events detected by the camera. The fact that Baby Crying Detected is not sent via ONVIF limits the use of this camera for me.

  @bluecrystaldex Same use case as above, would like Baby Cry detection to notify via ONVIF, in addition the Glass Break, Meow Detection and Dog Bark Detection would no doubt be useful to others.

I would be well interested in sound notifications for baby crying and Glass Break. Mainly as this would allow for Home Assistant automations.
