Solution Doorbell D235/D225/TD25 in Always-On Mode Can't Watch Recordings When SD Card is Full

D235 1.0
TD25 1.0
Description
If the Tapo doorbell is set to always-on mode with a continuous recording plan, you may find that playback recordings can no longer be accessed in the Tapo app once the microSD card becomes full. When attempting to view an event video, the screen will display 'No Recordings.'
This issue occurs even with loop recording enabled. At this point, the doorbell will also stop recording new videos.
However, the videos can still be accessed by reading the microSD card from a computer using a card reader.
Solution
Fixed on firmware 1.1.19 Build 250320 Rel.42136n. After updating the firmware, be sure to format the SD card before continuing to use it.
Note: New firmware releases are typically done in stages and are not sent to all devices at once. If your device has not yet received this version of firmware, please be patient as the firmware release will gradually scale up to 100%.
The R&D team is working on analyzing the problem. Now, a beta firmware with relevant modifications is available.
If you would like to try the beta firmware, send a private message to @Wayne-TP with the following information.
1. Description of the problem.
2. Model and the device Mac address of your doorbell.
Before the Upgrade
(1) Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Pre-release firmware!
(2) How to update the firmware of the Tapo devices on the Tapo App
(3) Firmware downgrade is not supported. When a new official version is released, updating it will overwrite the beta version.
Note: If the problem you are experiencing does not match the above description, it may not be the same problem. For regular problems with doorbells not recording video, please refer to the suggestions in the following article for troubleshooting.
