Hi. I'm looking to purchase the KE100 kit and I have a question.

I don't have a smart thermostat on my boiler. I have a wireless thermostat which senses the temperature on the hallway radiator. I can set the thermostat using a timer but I usually turn the boiler on and off with the thermostat when I require heating and vice versa.

What happens to the TRV when the boiler is off and the TRV is still on? Does the motor keep trying to work even though the boiler isn't on? I realise the boiler doesn't come on but I am unsure whether any strain is put on the TRV and if it keeps on trying to operate because it isn't up to temperature.

I only require one TRV as the current manual one in my utility room is difficult to reach and I want to be able to easily turn it off when I put the tumble dryer on and turn it back on again afterwards.
