There is no forum for smart doorbels, I guess cameras are the closest to that... Truth to be told, it's kind a sad that there is no support forum for the device I purchased.

I have a smart doorbel DS230 S1 (current firmware version 1.1.15) paired with smart hub H200 (firmware version 1.3.6). I managed to pair it with Tapo app on my mobile, however now most of the times I am unable to use the device. When I try to manage it  in the app I get a popup message stating that the update is needed to use the device.

After clicking "Update" app shows that firmware (new version should be 1.1.19) is starting the update process, however it takes a very long time without any progress. And while the app shows the device is updating, it still operates as usual, shows notifications, lights the LED, detects movement etc, while I am still unable to "open" device view (camera preview, settings, etc...).

Once the app is simingly finished updating the firmware version remains unchanged.

I tried restoring factory settings, re-doing the entire process but so far no luck. The device is effectively not working.

What else can I do?

Hi,
1. If you have a doorbell camera, you can post your questions on the Tapo Smart Camera category for help.

2. For the reported issue, please try to power off and on the hub H200, move the doorbell camera closer to the hub, and then check if you can update its firmware successfully. Once the doorbell's firmware is up to date, check if you can watch its live feed and change its settings.

Best Regards
