EAP610 US v3 slow WiFi spee
EAP610 US v3 slow WiFi spee
Hi All
The wifi speed on my two AP - EAP610 v3 is much slower than expected. I switched from an google wifi router with 2 mesh points which400-500 mbps territory within close proximity when checking on speeedtest on google pixel 9 pro. The EAP610 on the other hand only sometimes goes to 8-9 Mbps, wired connection is about 475mbps .
The APs is currently controlled by hardware controller.
Both are hardwired with cat6 (short runs) and powered from POE switch
I tried 2 methods of wlan optimization (global and adjustment) but same speed resoults.
I also set up ssid to the same that was set before on google wifi router so i don't have to recconect wifi clients/
There was the same speed results when connected to acces points in their factory configuration.
Any advice on what i can do ?
Thanks

Hi @Tomaszs
Please factory reset one EAP and run an iperf test; if still get the same results, you may contact your retailer to check warranty.

First, make sure your phone connects to a 5 GHZ hotspot.
also use other speedtest servers, because depending on the choice of country/provider the speed can vary greatly

My wifi network has 3 bands enabled 2.4;5 and 6 GHz even i 6ghz is turned off still same results
Tried different speed check servers form speedtest.net and OMADA app ( it has 4 ) all gives same results
And no VPN in use

Hi @Tomaszs
Did you test via 5G?
If yes, the speed is too slow. It should be a hardware defect. Please contact your retailer to check the warranty.
