Model: Tapo C100
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.9

Hi there - I have two Tapo C100 cameras set up at my elderly mother's house.  She lives in another city, and my siblings and I use cameras to keep an eye on her.  She recently had some Wifi issues and the service provider came and changed her router.  The technician sent met the router details and new password, but I'm not sure if I can reconnect the cameras remotely.  Is it possible to update the cameras to the new wifi without being where the cameras are located?  Unfortunately, my elderly mother doesn't use the app and so she can't update and share with my siblings and I.  Thanks in advance.

Hi,

@astph Thank you for your suggestions. If the new router has the same Wi-Fi name and password as the old router, usually, the camera will connect to it automatically, or you can reboot the camera and check if it will connect.

If it's unable to change the new router's Wi-Fi settings, it's suggested to refer to the following steps to set up the camera.
    1. Press the reset button on the camera for 10 seconds to factory reset it.
    2. Reconfigure the camera via the Tapo app: How to set up the Tapo camera

Best Regards

If you can have the service provider go and set the new modem/router to be the same as the previous one (same SSID and password), I'm certain this will work.
