KP303 surge LED not lighting up
So after a year or two, I noticed that the LED indicator for surge protection stops lighting up after 6-8 months of usage. I haven't noticed any power surges in my area. This is the only device that constantly wears its LED out (I have an APC surge protector for my PC).
Any idea if the extension is still safe to use or should I do something about it?

The turned-off Protected LED means that the surge protection on the smart plug has failed and the internal components are damaged. If you need surge protection, we suggest buying a new one.
What type of device are you connecting to this smart plug? Has there been any abnormal behavior in recent use that may damage the smart plug?

This is my usual setup:
Plug 1: Phone charger 25W max (rarely used but plugged in)
Plug 2: Unoccupied (typically short time usage for handheld vacuum cleaner)
Plug 3: 100W GaN charger (to charge laptop & phone, regular usage)
I've replaced this Plug once under warranty, and yet the same issue re-occurs

Can't really remember. But since I bought it back in 2020, I'd assume within 2020-2022 since I was covered under warranty. Got it from an authorised retailer.
Will try contacting local TP-Link Support
