D235 doorbell showing solid orange but not resetting when pressing the reset button
Just installed new tapo d235 doorbell in hardwired mode yesterday. After 15 hours doorbell is offline in the app. I tried resetting by pressing reset for 10 seconds but nothing happens like and its still solid orange. Tried powering it on but not responding.
The wifi network used is working perfectly fine with internet on other devices. I didn't change any dns or internet settings on the router/modem
What's the solution?

Please check whether the doorbell is online when the phone connects to local WiFi. The solid orange LED indicates the device is connected to WiFi but not connected to the cloud. So the device will show offline when the phone is on a remote network.
If it is a remote control failure issue, refer to this article for troubleshooting. What should I do if I can't view the Tapo camera?

Can you check what's the hardware and firmware version of your Tapo D235? Is it hardwired or battery-operated?
What's the model of your router?

For me, when I rebooted the wifi router, tapo d235 connected again. but this is happening once every 5 days. I need to keep on restarting my router to fix this

I tried that once too, to restart router which got the D235 connected at once.
Again, during the D235 outages all other Tapo devices works fine.
It seems that if D235 loses internet for a second it will not reconnect automatically until several of hours or something?

@Wayne-TP Its happening frequently now and not able to use it during critical times.
the router is Asus zenwifi AX XT8. I don't have other tapo devices. But reolink camera works perfectly.
Considering returning the device.

This happens to me every other day too. Mine is hardwired.
Solid amber light. I can't access it through the app though, Tapo says it's offline. Doesn't matter if my phone is on my home WiFi or not.
I have 6 other cameras that still work and are accessible through the app.
After an hour or so, the D235 goes back online.
Very frustrating.
