Image quality issues after updating Tapo C500 firmware to 1.1.4
Image quality issues after updating Tapo C500 firmware to 1.1.4
I recently updated my Tapo C500 camera to the latest firmware and have since encountered several issues that are affecting the performance and quality of the camera:
-
White Balance, Brightness, and Contrast Issues: After the update, the white balance, brightness, and contrast settings in the camera stream are not functioning correctly. The overall image quality has deteriorated, making it difficult to get a clear and accurate view.
-
Degraded Image Quality: The image quality, which was previously 1080p, now appears to be similar to 720p. This reduction in resolution is noticeable and significantly impacts the usability of the camera.
-
Increased Noise and Pixel Clusters: There is a noticeable increase in image noise and the appearance of pixel clusters, further reducing the clarity of the footage.
These issues are affecting the functionality and reliability of the Tapo C500, which was previously performing well. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving these problems as soon as possible.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.

@NguyenKhoi I can suggest waiting for a firmware update, or you can contact support for instructions on restoring the device's firmware, for example, to version 1.1.3 Build 231213 Rel.37124n.
