Hi everyone,

I have to buy a wifi extender (I think I'll get one from Tp-Link) because the Tapo C320WS that I installed outside the house doesn't receive wifi very well...

My question is: can I get a wifi exetender that has wifi6? Is it compatible with the Tapo C320WS?

Thank you

  @Flafla

In general you should use extender as last resort. If possible add second Wi-Fi Router/AP device closer to the camera via cable connection. This could possibly create mesh with some of the devices on the market. There are also some Wireless mesh devices which could be used for better coverage and speed. And as last step you should use extender.

So far I did not see any Wi-Fi camera which supports Wi-Fi 6, which is kind of shame.

This is some model that is shown that will work with ANY router :) :

Camera should work with any router and any extender though. As cameras are more like Wi-Fi 3-4, and newer Wi-Fi modes are backward compatible.

Of course there are always possibility for incompatibilities so to be 100% sure you need to test it.

  @P2000

there is definitely some tapo cameras which support wifi 6. I don't quite remember it but I saw the C225 Ver 2 box packaging at a shop stating wifi compatibility ax at the back.
