Spotlight always on
Hi,
Just got one of these. The spotlight is always on, even in infrared mode.
Surely it should turn off. Using the bulb icon it just turns back on again.

@Craven the camera can be reset via the app by deleting it, I've had the same issue on 4 out of the 7 cameras I've got. Don't waste your time using the factory reset button on the camera.

@Wayne-TP cameras can be reset from the app, poor advise saying to reset by removing the cover and pressing the reset button as quite often the cameras require a ladder to access!

Hi,
We have beta firmware for the Tapo C320WS V2 to solve the issue that the spotlight is permanently on and have posted the solution here.
If you want to try the beta firmware, please send me the MAC address of the Tapo C320WS V2 with the issue via private message, I'll then send the firmware to your camera via the cloud server, and you can update the firmware via the Tapo app.
You can go to the Tapo app>camera's device settings>device info page to find its MAC address.
Best Regards

Hi,
The latest official firmware (1.0.10 Build 231102 Rel.66223n) for the Tapo C320WS V2 has solved the spotlight on issue, since we released the official firmware gradually, some of the cameras may not receive the new firmware.
Do you mind waiting for the new firmware patiently, and updating it to check if it helps?
Best Regards

@Solla-topee thank you for your reply =)
I would wait for the update, but with the light on, there's a chance of the camera being stolen or broken (I live in Brazil). This light attracts a lot of attention from people passing by on the street. Is there any way to force the update?
