Model: EAP225
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I installed a EAP outdoor antenna to push a WIFI signal to my barn...about 75ft away.  The barn has insulated walls and although we have a signal, I would like it to be stronger.  I talked (chatted) with tech support and they recommended a CTE 210 be installed in the barn to extend the EAP225 WiFi signal in the barn with a stronger signal.  There is a window in the barn where I could potentially install the 210.   2.4 GHz (I am not an expert in any way)

does this make sense....are they compatible.....can I connect them without additional hardware using TP's free on line program?

Thank You

Phil

@Phil_Morgan

Hi and welcome

 https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/727/

This link is about setting up the CPE as a Client mode device. Your EAP is pushing the WiFi to the CPE. CPE converts the WIFI it receives from the EAP to wired connection. You, then, pull this cable inside the window and connect an AP to this cable.

CPE, in this case, is receiving and converting the WiFi. It is a directional antenna, so never recommend you use that as a Repeater. At the back of this antenna is so bad at pushing signals. Don't use this wrong.
