I have a 50Mbps down 20Mbps up cable connection.

 

This router does not allow me to set the upstream or downstream bandwidth beyond 1,000,000 Kbps on the WAN1 panel which should be plenty.

 

I have the "Disable Bandwidth Control" radio button selected.

 

I do a speed test and I get around 8Mbps.

 

if I set the Down Stream bandwidth on the WAN1 panel to 500,000 (half the max) and run a speed test I get around 4Mbps...  half the speed at 1,000,000 Kbps. ..

 

What am I missing?  Is there some setting I am not seeing.

 

Any help would be appricated.

@Fae IT is because I am bad at MATH!!!! the problem was the switch.....  Thanks!

This router does not allow me to set the upstream or downstream bandwidth beyond 1,000,000 Kbps on the WAN1 panel which should be plenty.

 

1,000,000 Kbps ≈ 1000Mbps (1M=1024Kbps). I don't know why you need to set the bandwidth beyond 1000Mbps on the WAN.

 

If your ISP provides 50Mbps down 20Mbps up bandwidth, then the upstream/downstream bandwidth can be set 20480Kbps/ 51200Kbps.

 

For the LOW speed issue, you may reset the router to default settings for checking if the router has been working fine before.
