Model: HS200
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 4.8

Hello! I have the wifi light switch HS200 and am wondering if there is any sort of internal memory. For example, if switch is set to "on" an the wifi goes out, will the switch remember to be in the "on" position? Or is it dependant on the cloud memory? Please explain. We need to know that this will be dependable for business purposes. Thank you!

@east1 If the device is on when the wifi drops it will stay on.  The schedule rules run on board the device and will continue to run if the wifi drops unless there's a power outage - it needs access to the internet to resync with the current time.  There may be a limit on how long the wifi can be off before the HS200 decides it's clock is no longer in sync, perhaps TP Link will chime in here.

@MikeP

Hi, Sorry for the delay.

You are right.

If the device is on when the Wi-Fi drops it will stay on;

The schedule would still take effect when the Wi-Fi dropped out;

It would sync device time to be the right one until the internet recovered;

Actually there is no exact time for how long would the schedule kept working when internet disconnected;

Normally, if it is not recovered within several hours even within one day after the router is recovered, a hardware reboot would be done to manually recover the connection;

Thank you very much.
