Model: HS100
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.6

Hi!

I ordered a HS100 smart plug on Amazon (Italy) on November 2019. Both on the box and on the back of the smart plug is reported the hardware version 3.1. But in the Kasa app I can see that the hardware version is 2.0 and the firmware version is 1.5.6. Who can kindly explain to me what smart plug version I have? Thank you so much!

@Angy1

Actually, the basic functions and features are the same on both version 2 and version 3, we generally update the package and product label to mark the package or production revision.

@Solla-topee thank you for the reply. And what about hardware version 4.0? It differs from the previous version (2.0 or 3.0)?

@Angy1

Yep, the version 4 will differ from V2 and V3 on the Wi-Fi chipset.
