4x KC120 motion duration keeps resetting
the setting for "record motion that lasts at least" with the slider resets to 1.0 seconds after: a power cycle, a wifi drop, and also just at random times
to reproduce:
drag slider to 2.0 seconds
wait a day or two or three
camera will have gone back to 1.0 seconds by itself
steps taken already:
removed cam from account and reset
removed kasa app
restarted router (tplink vr2800)
restarted phone
reinstalled kasa app
added device back to account and reset
problem remains. *at some point* the time will reset to 1.0 seconds no matter where i set it to. problem exists on 4x kc120 cams. problem also exists with other routers (took cam to a friend's home and they used it for a week)
firmware update needed?

i have given up. tp-link's support is that horrible combination of being arrogant AND stupid. one or the other i could cope with - but not both
i am migrating to google's nest for my IoT / smart home
it might be more expensive at first but at least it actually works 99% of the time and for the other 1% - the support will actually acknowledge the issue and fix it
things tp-link make that have garbage firmware:
hs100 - will not renew dhcp lease with an isp with a dns proxy
hs110 - will not remain connected to a wifi router with ipv6 enabled
kl130 - will not reconnect to ssid on power outage or show ssid in kasa app
vr2800 - will not request PD option 25 over dhcp to uk vdsl isp's breaking ipv6 firewall and subnets
it's all cheap, badly made, unsupported trash :-(

@eduytito no.. even after half a year they have done NOTHING
no firmware. no information. bad support. tp-link all over :-(
