EAP225 Outdoor initial setup for repeater mode
I am trying to set this up to repeat a wifi signal into my home, but cannot seem to figure out how to get it set up. When i try connecting to the network I just get "connecting...." over and over on my tablet. I have the Omada app installed, but of course it cant see it without being connected first.
I also tried the web browser 192.168.1.1 but was unable to load of course.

Do you have any suggestions on pointing outdoor eaps antenas? Now i made same 90 degree low and point it each to other.
The antennas of an EAP-Outdoor should stand upright parallel to each other for best results. The radio waves are already transmitted at 90º to the antenna.
If you want to do it especially well, mount the EAP-Outdoors with some distance (10-20cm) to the wall and ensure proper grounding by using an outdoor cable with a separate ground wire (e.g., UBNT ToughCable).

I purchased it from Amazon for the same reasons. My outdoor shed/office is a metal building and I am not able to get stable wifi signals inside. My intention is to mount it outside the shed, run the ethernet inside and connect it to my devices.
Am I understanding correctly that the device will not work that way?

@R1D2 I am a total novice here but found you response useful - can you just confirm if my basic understanding of what you said is right?
I am looking to extend my home wifi out into the garden and am able to run a Cat6 cable from my main router to the outdoor area - if I connect an EAP225 Outdoor to my main router by ethernet wire, will it enable me to 'extend' my main wifi network outside with the same SSID etc and no need to switch devices between one network or the other...
