Model : TL-WA7210N

Hardware Version : V2

Firmware Version :

ISP : TISCALI

Hello, I'm having an issue with my new TP LINK TL-WA7210N mode operation: UNIVERSAL REPEATER.

I need to exted my wireless signal between 2 buldings which are 40 meters far. After the configuration it seems that everything is ok but when I try to connect a smartphone or pc to the extended wireless of the WA7210N in the 2nd building I'm unable to connect. It says that the connection is limited. Of course the main wireless in the main bulding is working 100%.

What can I do ? Could it be the ip ? It is: 192.168.0.254

I specify that wireless connection is good but internet connection is off. :( :(

Why not to use 7210 as second device?

I ask because I have bought 2 7210Ns and have the first set to AP Router, connected to isp cable modem. That is working good, but using the second 7210 at the receiving end isn't working.

Thanks for any suggestions.

OK, I will change my root 7210n device, with IP of 192.168.0.253, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, channel 6, (main building) from "AP Router" mode to "AP" mode, but leave it connected to my cable modem via . Do I understand this part correctly?

Now I have line of sight at approx 450 feet apart.

Now at my 2nd building I need to set my second 7210n IP is 192.168.0.254, to the "client" mode? Then set it's channel to same as root, use gateway IP from ISP modem? (root is already using it) and disable DHCP on both 7210Ns?

Thank you for the help!

I'm not using an ISP router, just an ISP cable modem and have it connected to 7210N in AP Router mode.

It works fine in that configuration.

I can connect to that from my house with our laptops but would like to setup another 7210N and connect it to a wireless router within my house. Please educate me how to properly do it, I would greatly appreciate help. I'm guessing, but thought client mode, or AP client mode?

If there is instructions somewhere I'd be glad to read and learn from them.

Thanks!
