Whats the story behind "non certified" cameras!!?

I had my Hikvision cameras (ONVIF enabled) connected to this NVR and 2 cameras were detected out of 3.

The problem was, I was stuck at the credentials screen.

Despite keying in the correct username and password, the NVR wouldnt let me access - It said wrong username / password.

After lots of calls with the tech support team (they remotly accessed the NVR) and managed to connect the 3rd camera too the the NVR screen.

After changing the server ports multiple times, he finally managed to stream all the three cameras. The problem is, the NVR "looses it memory" in case of a power failure!!

The 3rd camera goes back to the "non certified" camera mode!!

What is the real cause here? Is TP LInk NVR meant for TP cameras only!!???

Hi @nevinjohn

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Not certified equals an error telling you that the camera is not connected or username and password you've input on the NVR interface fail the authentication.

Not certified does not mean a problem with the ONVIF.

For any problems like this, I would recommend a check on the power supply and cable. These matter in getting a stable camera working. And allowing the connection to go through properly.
