Model: EAP215-Bridge KIT
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I've just set up a bridge network using these devices. It has sent my Starlink internet from my house down to my work shed. Down at the shed, the EAP215 casts its own wifi signal with its own SSID successfully and that works with 2.4ghz, 5ghz, and 6ghz selected. If I disable 5 and 6ghz, the network availability disappears entirely. If i delete that configuration and make a single 2.4ghz wifi connection, it still does not appear. It seems the 2.4ghz function does not work at all. Only the 5ghz and 6ghz network options seem to work so any devices that are only 2.4ghz compatible will not even see the network, nor work with this network. (Trying to install a Tapo C425 camera). I have found that i can use a wifi extender device off that network and that device will successfully create two separate 2.4ghz and 5ghz wifi networks but this adds an arguably unnecessary device to the situation. Is there a reason why the EAP215 bridge will not cast a 2.4ghz network? Any advice?

Hi  @Beedrill

EAP215-Bridge KIT is 5G only.

You have chosen the wrong product if you are trying to connect a 2.4G-only client to it.

You may consider EAP225-outdoor. It's dual band.

Thank you!

I wont be able to return them so I'll go with plan b and use a wifi extender that outputs 2.4ghz, which on testing seems to work with the cameras.
