Can not connect to device over LAN with ER605
Can not connect to device over LAN with ER605
Hi I have installed this in my office to create a load balancer.
So 2 modems individual with PPOE wires are going in WLAN and WLAN/LAN1 and load balancing working fine.
now all network output to wired devices are going through router, I want to access my server which has IP 192.168.0.XX
Through other devices connected to wired network I can communicate.
But through WIFI network (that is created with original 2 routers that is connect to ER605) I can not communicate to my server as well my printer connected to network via LAN I can not access same through WIFI.

Hi,
It's hard to follow how it is connected and configured.
Can you make a graph of your network with subnets details on it?
Cheers

Hi,
I need more detailed info from you. Could you provide those information according to the diagram I've prepared?
I believe that's how it looks for you, if something is incorrect, please let me know:
I need yo yo provide me info regarding points 1-7.
Note 1: Subnet usually is presented as IP/Mask ["192.168.X.X / X" or "192.168.X.X / 255.255.255.X" - or any other class IP]
Note 2: Are those really routers [Router A/B]? Or just Access Points like TP-Link EAP650 or so?

1. 192.168.0.1 - ip address of tplink
2. 192.168.1.1 - ip address of router 1
3. 192.168.2.1 - ip address of router 2
4. I will check and let you know
5. I will check and let you know tomorrow
6. 192.168.0.120
7. 192.168.0.116

Yes both are individual routers not access point
I think subnet is range of ip that router assigns to device connects to it
For tplink device it starts from 192.168.0.100
For router 1 it goes from 192.168.1.2
For router 2 it goes from 192.168.2.2

2 and 3 are impossible.
It has to be something from TP-LINK so more like 192.168.0.X
Im asking there, what ip addresses those two routers are getting from TP-LINK.

@irbaaz You issue is your are double NATed. The ER605 is a Router. Your ISP modems should plug directly into your ER605 WAN ports. When you plug other Routers into the WAN ports you create a Double NAT.
Here is how data flows with your current setup:
- Internet >
- ISP Modem>
- ISP or Personal WiFi Router>
- ER605 Router>
- LAN
When on your Wired LAN you can connect to other resiources on the LAN. The reason you can't while on WiFi is becasue the WiFi router is before the ER605 and does not know it should route trafic back to the ER605 LAN.
If your ISP modem (1) is seperate from the Router (3), disconnect the routers (3) from the ER605 (4), and connect the ISP Modems (2) directly to the ER605 WAN Ports. If your ISP provided you with a Modem/Router combo, call your ISPs and have them put the routers in "Passthrough" mode. If they are Modem/Router combos you will need a seperate WiFi Access point, because the WiFi on the Routers (3) will no longer work in Passthrough mode.
Here is how it should be setup:
- Internet >
- ISP Modem>
- ER605 Router>
- Wireless LAN (WiFi Access Point or Router in "Access Point" mode.)

Yes I got you I should use my router as access point and use er605 as router itself.
But in load balancing issue will arise
One of my current router I can switch to er605 and another I have to use as is
As both isp is mac address bounded with router provided so for one I can clone but for second I still need to use router provided by isp

So the graph I've provided is incorrect? The internet is not going directly into Er605 but through Router A and Router B?
